This was a sound installation which was first exhibited as part of the Ghosts of Drumglass for Kabosh experimental theatre company at halloween. It consisted of hidden speakers in playground at night. The sound of children playing could heard realistically as groups ran past close to you and then dissapeared into the swings. These ghost children subsequently morphed into a banshee and flew round the park.
” The bangs, squeaks, howls and banshee roars mysteriously emanating from copses and tree-clusters, as the promenade around the park develops, are genuinely eerie and unsettling in the mizzly Belfast darkness, the more so for their sources being hidden by Augustine Leudar’s ingenious sound installation.”
